![]() What I'm trying to say is that 4chan will always be bad in some way, but it doesn't have to be as bad as it is right now. It's having a bit of a culture war, and "go back to /pol/" is nearly as common on /mu/ or /a/ or something as the awful human beings are. 4chan actually has rules that used to be enforced better, too. The site has always been home to a lot of people with awful views and been a place where they wouldn't get banned just for that, but it's been in a place for a few years now where those views are dominant in a way that the site's culture never approached before. As a frequent user of 4chan for the past decade or so, there's many shades of grey in what's allowed and what's actually normal that dramatically change how usable the website is.
